I did the frog stance exacly how they said in this site for 6 sets of 10 seconds http://www.dragondoor.com/articler/mode3/229/ and now my elbows hurt.I though isometrics didnt put such a strain on the joints as normal exercises do and i did it on a soft surface.Whats wrong?

Yes, you are right, isometrics does not put as much strain as normal exercise does.
But, even low level of strain was enough for you.
Please abstain from exercising your elbows and apply cold packs
Isometric exercises are usually not weight-bearing. This is a static position but has a lot of weight to hold on the hands and arms. Your elbow joints could be hurting from going from no sets to 6 sets of 10 seconds. I would suggest to rest your arms and elbows and ice or heat your elbows. Slow and gradual is my recommendation.
